SeamlessContracted by Seamless to update the iOS app and give it a fresh look. Not only was this my first project at Atimi, I was assigned to it on my first day. After reviewing the current app I broke down the major flows and redesigned it from the ground up, making sure each flow was as concise and intuitive as possible. I got the chance to work directly with the client, reviewing and discussing feedback on a bi-weekly schedule. The turnover and churn was very rapid in order to accommodate the tight deadline and I worked simultaneously with creative and dev. Review involved documenting and filing bugs while setting priorities and severity levels to assist the QA team. The product was launched in December and has retained a 4.5 star rating to date. Hookt MessengerConceived two years ago, Hookt has evolved into a simple cross platform messenger. Although basic, it was very ambitious as I designed for four different platforms simultaneously. Became familiar with device capabilities and limitations as well as platform best practices for BlackBerry, Android, iPhone, and web. Provided my team of 15 developers with specs, features, and wireframes for each sprint. Also responsible for sign off and feature review before handing over to QA. In February Hookt had a viral spike across all platforms and reached number one under Top Free in the Social Networking category of the apple app store, beating out Facebook, and appeared in the top ten trending topics on Twitter.

momo⋅jobsTeamed up with two friends to start up a recruiting/job finding site as a side project. Wrote up proposals and business plans then prioritized feature ideas for some early sketches. Researched and explored branding (colors, icons, language) and put together a branding 'best practices' guide along with a logo. Designed the initial web flows including main screens and on boarding, reviewed the implementation and provided the art assets. Launched beta in March of 2012 and within a few weeks had 90 connectors and 8 partner companies, and still growing.

BeyondSIATSpoke at BeyondSIAT and presented for SFU interactive arts and technology undergrads about career paths and industry highs and lows. Had the opportunity to meet and greet some of the 200+ students afterwards and exchanged stories and projects with the two other speakers. This was such an exciting and nerve racking experience, completely out of my comfort zone, but it was extremely rewarding.
